I love Creston Mapes and the way he moves a book forward - Poison Town is an awesome title but Fear Has a Name is the first one you have to read! That’s my opinion, of course :-)

I absolutely love this interview with Michael K Reynolds! But don’t read this book first - go back and get the first in the trilogy!

I feel pretty strongly that someone needs to hear this interview today - if you are facing a rough season or you love someone who is… listen to Bo Stern talk about her struggles with her husband’s ALS.

This is a picture of the dads that we spoke about yesterday… the ones who told us that, if they don’t catch any fish, their children don’t eat. The one family that we visited in this village had eight children and the parents had to choose some days which child would eat. I’ve never been in that situation, I don’t know about you, but you can choose to do something about it today. Change the life of a child one child at a time through Compassion International. Today is your day! www.myflr.org/compassion

I told you that I would explain the picture at the top during our Days of Compassion. This is the day that we met our Compassion family and our little girl Sandra. Her mom and she flew on a plane for the very first time to Bogota and we spent several hours talking and playing. Her mom said that the night before we met, Sandra would not stop talking about how excited she was to meet us. Then after she burst out of the box above, she got a little shy like little girls do. I cannot tell you how much I respect her mother for traveling that distance and allowing us to love on her daughter for that short time. It was a life changing day!

There are no words necessary to describe this beach at the fishing village in Cienaga, Columbia. The beautiful water, the fishermen working on their boats and the garbage dump we walked through to get there. The children in this village are being released from poverty in Jesus’ name by Compassion. Join us today! www.myflr.org/compassion

As we continue our Days of Compassion today, pray about how God can use you to change the life of a child. www.myflr.org/compassion

We asked you to send stickers and you did! The children in Columbia were so grateful and held their treasured stickers close to their hearts. It was so wonderful to take a piece of your gift and bless these children with them so thank you! These two precious ones are very different… the ones in yellow is in the Compassion project and the one on the right is not. You can change a life like his today by sponsoring a child through Compassion -www.myflr.org/compassion

Stories of the children… when we visited a Columbia family’s home, we gifted them with a basket filled with rice, eggs, etc. The children unwrapped the basket then played with the wrapping proving once again that children across the world are just alike!
